69th Annual Navajo Festival of Arts & Culture
Looking for an opportunity to explore everything about the Navajo culture from an amazing festival?
Look no further. This coming weekend, August 4th through the 5th, head to the Museum of Northern Arizona and explore the 69th Annual Navajo Festival of Arts & Culture.
You can not only learn much cultural wisdom from tribal experts, scholars, and elders, but there will also be more than 80 award-winning Navajo artists sharing their own knowledge, wisdom, and gifts via their various forms of creativity.
You’ll also be able to buy traditional and contemporary art, enjoy artist demonstrations, savor authentic food, gain insightful information on heritage programs, and enjoy a variety of Navajo musical performances, to include pageantry of hoop and social dances.

Sedona Star Party
Many of us have experienced looking up at the clear, dark night’s sky seemingly painted with bright, sparkling stars; but how often, if any, have we had the opportunity to get a much closer look at the beauty within our galactic canvas?
Well friends, if you’re ready for an awe-inspiring experience, check out the Sedona Star Party this Saturday—August 4th from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm—at Posse Grounds Park (lower softball field) located at 525 Posse Ground Rd. Sedona, Arizona 86336.
Here you will be able to see through a telescope the already visible and all the seemingly invisible stars within our Milky Way Galaxy, various constellations, and planets (i.e., Jupiter, Saturn and Mars). During the event, there will also be available laser guided constellation tours.

Community Plein Air Event
Have you ever witnessed an artist passionately create in real time, amidst Mother Nature’s scenery that seemingly transcends serenity and beauty?
If you have, then you’re already aware of how priceless such moments are, and you’re probably excited to experience it again. But if you haven’t, don’t miss out on this inspirational opportunity at the Community Plein Air Event on August 15th, from: 8 am to 1 pm.; admission is free!
Along the creek at L’Auberge de Sedona, artists will be painting or drawing in any medium . Everyone is invited to come and check out their work and attend the awards and sale at 11 am.
Park at the Sedona Arts Center lower level parking lot and the Sedona Magic Trolley will take you to L’Auberge from 8 am – 1 pm.
