The Tax Free Weekend gives parents a break when buying school supplies and clothing for the coming school year. For those not shopping for children, it is a great opportunity to save some extra money.
During this weekend, most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 are exempt from sales and use taxes.

The Balcones Heights Jazz Festival 2013
You can sit back and relax to the smooth sounds of jazz during The Balcones Heights Jazz Festival. This festival has been providing San Antonio great jazz music for almost 20 years.

San Antonio Asian Pacific Alliance Festival 2013
The Alliance of San Antonio Asian Cultures will be celebrating its 3rd annual San Antonio Asian Pacific Alliance Festival this weekend. This year will have two different events.
The daytime event will feature cultural performers, food, and vendors. This is their signature event and raises money that supports scholarship, children homes, orphanages, and refugee assistance.
The evening event features the 2013 San Antonio Fashion Week Preview.
