About the Wounded Warrior Project
The Wounded Warrior Project had its beginning when several veterans and friends, moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq, felt the need to help. They initially started a program to provide items to wounded service members and have grown into a complete support program to assist warriors on their return.
Programs
To help wounded warriors and their families, the programs have been categorized under four main focus areas – Mind, Body, Economic Empowerment, and Engagement.

Get Involved
Donors can feel pleased to know that $0.81 of every dollar helps provide services and programs for wounded warriors and their families. They have a number of ways for you to contribute either your time or money to support this great cause.
