Thinking about having a Super Bowl party at your home? If you haven’t already, it may be time to start a checklist for everything you will need. The list below may not include everything you may need, but it can be a good starting point.
Area to Watch the Game
The focus of the day is the game and you want to make sure that everyone can be comfortable and enjoy watching the game. Having to sit with someone’s head blocking your view is not the way you want to watch the Super Bowl. This means having enough seating and room to be able to see the TV. If there are children, having a separate area for them to play would be a great idea.
One of the great traditions of football is the food while tailgating. You want to be able to have snacks or something small that people can grab during the game. If you are worried about spills, finger sandwiches can be a great option.
Whatever the beverages you are serving, having plenty and easy access is a must. Borrowing extra coolers from friends and family can be a great help. You can also start putting the ice from your refrigerator into bags in the freezer a couple of days earlier and save money on buying ice.
Cleanup is always easier with disposable plates, silverware and cups. Just the time and energy saved from the dreaded dish washing can be well worth it.
The games during the game can add so much to your Super Bowl party. These games can be for money, clean-up chores or just for fun. Also you may want to consider something fun for the kids for during the game.
