The San Antonio Business Journal reported earlier this month that San Antonio is one of only two cities within the United States to see home values rise since 2007.
The San Antonio Board of Realtors mentioned a recent Newsweek comparison of the 200 largest U.S. cities, and San Antonio was ranked third for its high scores in business development, transportation/infrastructure, sustainability and livability.
San Antonio Real Estate Sales
San Antonio home sales increased 5% in January when compared to the homes sales of January of 2011. Considering that January is traditionally the slowest month of the year, this increase provides a promise for a great year in San Antonio home sales.
San Antonio Real Estate Sales Prices
Both the median home sales prices and average home sales prices saw a decrease compared to that of December 2011. According to information from the Texas Real Estate Center, this same decrease has happened 9 out of the past 10 years. This decrease traditionally happens along with the increase in home sales prices during the summer months.
