San Antonio saw 2011 housing numbers that ended up very similar to 2010. The year to date numbers showed an increase in median price of one percent and no change for both sales and average price from 2010.
The median and average sale prices have remainded steady and are the highest ever. Expected growth in the San Antonio housing market holds true for 2012.
San Antonio home sales continue to remain steady and are expected to be on par with the past couple of years.
The median home sales price increased one percent compared to November and the year to date median price increased one percent to $151,000 compared to 2010 median sales price of $149,600. The average sales price also was four percent higher than November and finished the year at $184,400, an increase over 2010’s average sales price of $183,800.
San Antonio months of inventory for December was 6.6 percent and for the year finished at 7.8 percent. A level market is 6 months of inventory with higher numbers being a buyer’s market and lower numbers a seller’s market.
