The city of San Antonio has continued to see record numbers of homes listed and sold, and the low number of days on market indicate how quickly many homes are moving.
April had the lowest days on market since last summer, with 71 days, a 15 percent drop from April 2013.
Home sales during the month were the highest ever during the month of April.
San Antonio has seen an increase of 5.0 percent in the number of homes sold for the first 4 months of 2014 when compared to the first 3 months of 2013.
The average home sales price has also seen an increase of 10.6 percent during the same time period.
San Antonio April 2014 Home Sales
The 2,203 home sales in San Antonio for the month of April was a 7.7 percent increase when compared to the homes sales of April of 2013.

The average home sale price, $210,500, in San Antonio increased 4.1 percent in April when compared to April of 2013.
The median home sale price, $174,900, also increased 5.8 percent during the same time period.
San Antonio April 2014 Days on Market and Absorption Rate
The inventory of available homes for sale in San Antonio for April was at 4.6 months. The number of total listings (9,358) for the month of April was lower than any April since 2006.
The 4.6 months of inventory for April also placed our inventory levels at the lowest levels since 2006.
A neutral market is 6 months of inventory with numbers above 6 months indicating a buyer’s market (more supply of homes than the demand) and numbers below 6 months, a seller’s market (more homes in demand than homes available on the market).
