Every spring, there’s one fantastic tradition you have to attend…the Poteet Strawberry Festival.
The festival will be this year from the 8th through the 10th. It is recognized as the largest agricultural festival in the state of Texas.
Poteet, known as the “Strawberry Capital of Texas”, is located approximately 25 miles south of San Antonio.
There are numerous stages throughout the festival to provide plenty of music and entertainment for everyone’s taste.
The festival include events such as concerts, gunslingers, various contests, rodeo performances and of course a Texas carnival throughout the entire weekend.
The Poteet Strawberry Festival draws crowds in excess of 100,000 every year.
The festival offers a mixture of local and national music to satisfy the musical tastes for everyone.
The music is continuous throughout the whole weekend.
What would a great festival be without a carnival for all to enjoy!
The carnival kicks off Friday when the gates open and continues throughout the festival.
One of the all-time favorite things about festivals has to be the food.
It’s your chance to enjoy some of your favorite foods from when you were a kid. Of course, you know that there will be plenty of strawberry treats as well.
